TAG READING IN HARSH ENVIRONMENTS

The CYON is designed to read AEG passive transponder technology. The CYON panel reader is targeted toward transponder tag reading in harsh industrial environments. Designed and manufactured by Uniterm in South Africa, the transponder is especially geared for South African conditions.

The CYON has a high impact and flame retardent enclosure. It has a large non-volatile memory buffer as well as sequential storage of individual time stamped transponder identification codes.

One can employ up to six readers per cluster. The CYON network Concentrator provides intelligent control and supervision of up to forty clusters. Stand-alone operation with PC download capability is also supported.

The CYON is powered from the CYON network HUB or an external AC or DC power source. The CYON HUB offers a network cluster function of fault tolerant self-healing properties.
